Evan Kice is an award-winning indie game developer and programmer. Formerly a software engineer working on global business analytics and distribution software like IBM Cognos, Evan started his own game development studio, becoming the designer, programmer, artist, musician, and writer for the game Afterplace. Afterplace won Apple's Design Award for Delight and Fun in 2023, and was one of three finalists for iOS Game of the Year. As a teacher at UT, Evan works closely with students to shed light on the complexities and nuances of coding and game engines for making new and amazing art and stories.
